You're throwing away money on Netflix – I found three common mistakes sending your bill soaring but the fixes are easy

MILLIONS of telly fans can unlock dozens of extra movies for free in April.

It's part of a massive upgrade to a popular TV service – and won't cost you a penny extra.

Pluto TV is getting a big update in April as part of a special event.

The app is ad-supported, which means that you don't pay anything to watch. The only catch is that you'll sit through some ads.

And it's a popular app that you can get on millions of TV models, Amazon Fire Stick and Roku plug-in devices, as well as your phone.

Importantly, Pluto TV has revealed that it's adding dozens of new movies in April.

The company says that it's part of a broadcasting event to mark the fact that we're now halfway to Halloween.

And that means the app is being loaded up with loads of spooky content.

“Boo! Starting April 1st, Pluto TV will be celebrating the halfway mark to Halloween with APRIL GHOULS,” Pluto explained.

“With a scary good offering of supernatural, and thrills and chills themed programming stunts and horror film-filled marathons across a number of channels.”

That includes 27 movies that don't cost anything to watch.

And there are several horror-themed channels available for free in April too.

SWAP YOUR STREAMS TO SAVE!

Telly fans can claim DOZENS of free movies and 10 extra TV channels from tomorrow – and it’ll work on your phone too 3

Here's some bill-slashing advice from Flying Eze's tech editor Sean Keach

If you're like me, you'll be paying out more than you'd like on subscriptions each month.

It's easy to lose track of where all the money goes, and the fear of missing out makes it hard to bin Netflix.

But if you're paying for several streaming services, you're making a big mistake.

Instead, try something called stream swapping.

Cancel all of your TV subscriptions except for Netflix, then burn through all of the telly you want to watch on the app.

Then cancel that and sign up for another service, like Disney+.

Watch all of the good stuff there and then move on, perhaps to Amazon Video.

Do this with three or four apps and then cycle back to Netflix at the start.

This way, you get to watch all of the top content on each app but you're not paying for them all at the same time.

And you might even get to take advantage of some attractive sign-up offers too.

It could save you hundreds each year if you stick to it.

You'll get access to live TV channels with Pluto TV – but there's on-demand content too

The app says it delivers live TV including local and national news, sports, shows and movies, as well as a mix of Netflix-style on-demand content.
