Police arrest two suspects over alleged murder of Delta widow’s 17-yr-old son

Policemen from A Division, Warri, Delta State, have arrested two suspects over the alleged murder of a 17-year-old son of a widow, Jasper, as investigations commence. The deceased was allegedly murdered in a river in Benin City, Edo State.

He had been sent by his mother to assist with the decoration of an event last week alongside a female decorator.

DAILY POST learnt that Jasper was initially alleged to have drowned in the river, and news of his death filtered into town to the shock of his widowed mother two days ago.

The family made efforts to bring his corpse back to Warri, only to discover bodily injuries inflicted on him, a sign that he was allegedly murdered.

When contacted for comments, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, said it is the police spokesperson in Benin who is to speak on the matter, since the 17-year-old was allegedly murdered in that state before his remains were brought to Delta State.
