Police nab nine suspects, recover stolen items in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command has arrested nine suspects involved in crimes such as thuggery, armed robbery, and criminal conspiracy.
Confirming the arrests on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, stated that officers recovered stolen items, including mobile phones, ATM cards, and cash.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.

Among those arrested were three individuals—Mohammad Ahmad, Abdullahi Adamu, and Yau Adamu—who allegedly carried out an armed robbery in the Federal Low-Cost Quarters of Gombe LGA.

The suspects, armed with a sharp knife, reportedly robbed two residents of a Redmi Android phone worth ₦150,000, a Tecno Android phone worth ₦100,000, three ATM cards, and ₦3,000 in cash.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, and all stolen items were successfully recovered. The police urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
