B.C. Premier John Horgan will take questions about the COVID-19 pandemic for the first time since the provincial budget was tabled and for the first time in eight days.

He is expected to take questions following an announcement at 11:45 am PT alongside Economic Recovery Minister Ravi Kahlon about a new initiative to help businesses scale up and drive innovation, which was announced in the budget.

Since Horgan announced significant travel restrictions more than a week ago, the province has introduced a budget, released the formal details on the travel restrictions, broken the provincial record for people in hospital with COVID-19, and the federal government banned flights from India and Pakistan.

Horgan's announcement will be carried live here on the Global BC website.
