I’m trolled for shopping in Primark’s kids section to save cash – people say I’m ‘flashing everyone’ but it looks great

EVER looked at the kids clothing section and wished they made the same outfits in adult sizes?

Well, for one woman the kids section in Primark is the perfect place to get all the latest fashion trends.

Lily Whitfield, from London, recently took to TikTok to share her shopping secret, but her hack has left people divided.

In the viral video, the 23-year-old, showed off her haul of cute summer items all from the kids section.

“When I saw this dress in the Primark kids section you know I had to try it on.

“This was only £10 and they went up to age 15,” Lily explained in the clip.

The red and white gingham dress did look great on the fashion fan when she got to the fitting rooms though.

She ended up trying on the dress in a size 9-10 age range and found it fit her perfectly, if maybe a little on the short side.

Meanwhile, the white crop top also looked great on Lily, and you'd never know it was designed for kids.

“This was honestly giving me House of CB vibes,” Lily said as she browsed the rest of the kids section.

In fact, the fashion fan said the girls range was loads nicer than the adults section and begged the retailer to sell similar designs for adults.

But the dress wasn't the only item she loved, plenty of cute summer tops she said could be worn as crop tops, and the kids T-shirts could even be baby tees if that's your style.

But after showing off her haul people weren't sure what to make of the money-saving hack.

“That dress is way to short. Why are adults wearing kids' clothes anyway?,” one person commented on the viral video.

A second agreed: “Why do kids get better clothes than women?”

And other TikTok users admitted they also shop the kids section because of their petit size.

“Thank you for normalising this,” one said, “I’m 4’10 size 6 and often women’s clothes just look like I’m playing dress up! It’s nice to know that I can wear kids and nobody would know as they look like this.”

“If the skinny girls can fit in the kids section, let them buy it! The adult section gets easily boring,” someone else chimed in.

But some still thought the outfits just weren't big enough for Lily, especially when it came to the dress length.

“None of my business but you’re definitely flashing everyone with that dress,” one wrote.

“Please no, the dress is soooo short,” another commented.

“The fact that kids clothes can be mistaken as adult is what we should be worrying about honestly,” someone else said.

And another TikTok user wrote: “I don't understand why an adult woman would want to dress up in kids clothes.”
