Argentina defeated France 4-2 in a penalty shootout following a 3-3 draw after 120 minutes at Lusail Stadium to draw the curtain on the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

France forward, Kylian Mbappe, is the 2022 FIFA World Cup top scorer with eight goals after scoring a hat-trick against Argentina in the final. Behind Mbappe is Messi, who has seven goals in the competition.
