The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has warned youths against involvement in short ways of money making.

The Minister who was represented by the South West Zonal Director in the ministry, Mrs Olayinka Akeredolu, made these assertions during the 2023/2024 convocation ceremony of Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.

He added that Facebook and X are not the only things to learn on the internet.

He called on the graduands to make good use of internet, saying, “Fast money leads to destruction. They are temporary. All the people involved in Yahoo Yahoo, it is temporary. It does not last.

“Everyone of you has a role to play in the development of this country. You must learn all the times. Facebook and X are not the only things you can see on the internet. There are a lot of things you can do on the internet, there are books you can read on the internet, e-books are on the internet that you can read.

“This graduation is not the end of your life, you must continue to pursue your dreams. You must think of the ways you can be source of blessings to your parents. Look for mentors, the people who have excelled in your areas of specialisations. Look for them, let them mentor you, so that in the next few years, you too will be celebrated.

“Dear parents, I want to congratulate you, but do not leave these children at this time. Continue to pray and guide them. Support them with prayers”.

The provost of the college, Dr Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo while speaking, noted that 820 graduands were produced during the 2023/2024 academic session.

He added that the list include those who bagged Diplomas in National Diploma and Higher National Diploma of the institution.
