A CELEBRITY superfan of Real Housewives turned DOWN the opportunity to be on London's new spin-off.

TV bosses are s, inspired by the huge success of its American shows and the UK's Cheshire spin-off.

Now, podcaster and author Elizabeth Day has revealed she was approached to star in The of , but said no – despite loving the show.

Speaking to ‘s on Sky‘s podcast Smart TV, Elizabeth said: “I did have a conversation about it, but it was very informal, and it would be brilliant, but it would remove my enjoyment of the show as a viewer.

“I don’t think I could cope.

“Well, I’ve already said no, but I couldn’t cope because there’s also a lot of online attention that these housewives get.

“I don’t know if I’ve got the cojones for it anyway.”;

Hayu is developing its first original series, adapting the franchise, and setting it in London.

Alison said she would be interested in joining the show – but pointed out she's not married.

Elizabeth claimed: “It doesn’t matter. That’s an ironic term.

“So many of them are these badass businesswomen now.”;

The Real Housewives of London's first series premieres in late 2025.

It means the UK will have two Housewives formats, withnow in its 17th series on ITVBe.

But stars such as Neighbours actor , fashion entrepreneur and Selling Sunset’s have apparently declined the opportunity due to other work commitments.
