Real Madrid captain Luka Modric is set to become the minority owner of English club, Swansea.

This was disclosed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet via his X account on Monday.

“Luka Modrić, set to become new Minority Owner at Swansea,” Romano tweeted.

“Modrić will become one of the owners of the Championship club, deal agreed.

“This does affect his pro career, as he wants to continue playing for Real Madrid again, as reported last month.”

Modric is in the tail-end of his football career.

The Croatia international joined Real Madrid back in 2012 from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 39-year-old has also played for the likes of Dinamo Zagreb and Zrinjski Mostar in the past.

He won the 2018 Ballon d'Or ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
