Repent or leave Niger State – CP warns criminal elements

Published on April 05, 2025 at 05:38 PM

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdullahi Elleman, has warned criminal or potential criminal elements to have a rethink and turn a new life or leave the state.

Elleman gave the warning during a Road Walk as part of activities to mark the National Police Day in Minna said.

He pledged that, as a new CP, the Command, he will ensure criminal elements were chased away from Niger State.

“The police is the servant of the people and not the other way round. We want to use this opportunity to assure members of the public of their safety,” the CP said.

In the same vein, during an outreach programme by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACO) team led by Barrister Muhammad Isah and the Police Public Relations Unit at the Police Secondary School, the Command sensitized students against involvement in cultism, thuggery, indecent dressing, rape and drug/substance abuse.

The event witnessed the provision of free medical services to members of the public by police medical personnel.
