Hilarious moment savvy traveller dodges Ryanair's baggage fees by faking pregnancy bump with two jackets and make-up bag

A SAVVY traveller dodged Ryanair’s baggage fees by faking a pregnancy bump.

Grace Hale, 20, stuffed two jackets and a make-up bag into her top and wrapped up in a trench coat.

She then breezed through without being charged for the hidden extra hand luggage.

Grace pulled off the stunt while flying from Stansted to Edinburgh last Sunday.

The London-based business student, from Dallas, Texas, came up with the last-minute idea because she could not stuff all her luggage into her carry-on bag.

She said: “I realised the jackets and make-up bag weren’t going to fit, so I thought I’d act like I was pregnant.”;

Grace even practised her fake bump on the train to the airport to ensure nothing would fall out — “because that would be embarrassing.”;

At the airport, staff asked her how far along she was. She said: “I decided on 26 weeks which is so lucky because at 28 weeks you need a doctor’s note.”;

Grace said she would definitely use the trick again for future flights.

Ryanair was contacted for comment.
