Sam Thompson supported by pals on night out after ex Zara McDermott moves on with Louis Tomlinson

SAM Thompson enjoyed a night out with good mate and podcast co-host Pete Wicks after his split from Zara McDermott.

Flying Eze exclusively revealed earlier this week that Zara, 28, is moving on with her life and is now dating superstar singer Louis Tomlinson, 33 of One Direction fame.

But Sam did not seem bothered on Saturday, starting his morning at the gym and later bumping into his mother before taking some time to work on his art, by doing illustration.

Sam shared his productive day to his Instagram stories, including sharing a photo of himself taken by Pete as they enjoyed a beer and bite to eat before heading out.

The lads dressed in all black suits and the photo shows Sam holding up a glass of beer and brandishing a big smile.

Plates of food can be seen on the table and Pete captioned the post “pre-drinks.”

When Sam reshared the post, he also tagged JLS pop star Marvin Humes, writing “we're coming for you.”

Marvin and his wife, Rochelle Humes, celebrated birthdays this week on March 18 and 21, respectively.

Zara and Sam split after five years together and she was spotted with Louis on a cosy night out at a hotel in Aldeburgh, Suffolk after their break-up.

The Made In Chelsea star has opened up on his feelings about the split on podcasts admitting that he's struggled and is feeling “terrified” about where he goes from here.

Sam's night out with Pete comes as the former couple's friends take sides in the break-up.

The Love Island star's pals this week jumped to her defence after Sam made a public dig at her over Louis, telling podcast listeners that he isn't someone who “looks for the next person instantly”.

A source exclusively told Flying Eze: “Sam's camp are sad and heartbroken too.

“It’s really hard as the friendship groups were combined for five years and everyone was so supportive.

“But now they’ve been torn apart and people are having to take sides.

“Some people have chosen Sam, others have chosen Zara – and some people are stuck in the middle.

“The main problem is that everyone feels very passionately.”
