Serie A: Kayode set to sign new Fiorentina contract

Michael Kayode is close to agreeing a contract with Serie A club Fiorentina.

The teenager was drafted to Fiorentina’s first team following the injury to regular first-teamer Dodo.

The right-back has made five appearances in Serie A as well as another two in the UEFA Europa Conference League, providing one assist across both competitions.

Kayode has attracted interest from a number of clubs in Europe, including Arsenal.

The 19-year-old and Fiorentina are now closing in on a final agreement.

Kayode currently earns an estimated €30,000 per season, which is set to be increased significantly to a figure closer to €1 million per year.

It is believed that La Viola are prepared to hand the highly-rated teenager a five-year deal.
