Serie A: Osimhen reveals secret behind impressive Napoli form

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has highlighted manager Luciano Spalletti’s role in his development.

Osimhen has enjoyed a good working relationship with Spalletti, who is in his second season at the club.

The 23-year-old scored 18 goals in 32 appearances for the Partenopei last season.

The forward’s performance has also been on the rise in the current campaign as he has netted 11 times and provided three assists in 14 outings across all competitions.

Osimhen pinpointed Spalletti’s influence as the major reason for his impressive displays.

“My growth is linked to Spalletti,”; Osimhen told Napoli magazine.

“He believes in me. He gives me stimuli, makes me work hard, and never lets me stop. With him, everything is easier because you understand that it’s a job that makes you do it to improve even more. It’s just the beginning for me, I haven’t reached any milestones yet.”;

Osimhen is expected to be in action when Napoli take on Ligue 1 club, Lille in a friendly on Thursday night.
