Shanna Moakler continues to get press for making things very messy for her ex-husband Travis Barker and his current girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian. Shanna has continued to speak her truth about Travis’ relationship with Kourtney, and now she’s dragged Kourtney’s sister Kim Kardashian into it as well. But while Shanna’s messy mouth might be entertaining for the rest of us, it’s apparently not so fun for Shanna and Travis’ two teenage kids.
The latest in this situation started on TikTok after Shanna and Travis’ 17-year-old son Landon Barker claimed that his mother isn’t in his life in the same way that his father is. His 15-year-old sister Alabama Barker decided to further explain their relationship with their parents in an Instagram Story. Page Six says Alabama claimed that Shanna hasn’t ever really been in her life, and alleged that Shanna was MIA for Mother’s Day this year:
Alabama slammed Moakler on social media, saying she’s not an “amazing” mom.
“My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom? Did your moms ask to see you on Mother’s Day [because] mine didn’t? I’m done keeping it a secret, reality shows.”
Shanna and Travis reportedly share joint custody of their kids (although Us Weekly points out that the details of their custody agreement are sealed and private).
Shanna’s current boyfriend Matthew Rondeau jumped to her defense, telling Life & Style that Shanna is an “amazing” mom who “cares so much about her family.” Matthew probably shouldn’t write a book about healthy parent-child relationships any time soon, because his definition of amazing and caring might be a bit off. While accusing her mom of being absent from her life, Alabama posted what she claims is a DM that was sent by her mother Shanna. Shanna didn’t send the message to Alabama, but to some other random third party (Alabama just happened to get her hands on it). Okay, so here’s how Kim factors into Kourtney’s relationship.
In the DM intercepted by Alabama, Shanna alleges that she got out of her marriage to Travis because he was emotionally abusive, and also that he was allegedly fucking Paris Hilton’s former assistant, Kim Kardashian (Shanna and Travis split in 2006 and officially divorced in 2008). via Page Six:
Alongside her critical message, Alabama, 15, shared a screenshot of a direct message purportedly written by Moakler that read in part, “I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim! Now he’s in love with her sister…It’s all gross…I’m not the bad guy!”

A source close to Kim reached out to Page Six, and fully denied Shanna’s claim:
“Travis and Kim have never had a romantic relationship. They were friends who met through Paris Hilton and that is also how Kourtney and Travis were introduced.”
Kim claims she never had a romantic relationship with Travis. And if you go back almost six years, you’ll see Travis has said the same. Travis claims he met Paris Hilton after breaking up with Shanna, and that they dated a bit. Then he was introduced to Kim, aka Paris’ “closet girl” as he calls her (because she used to organize Paris’ closets). But he never did anything with Kim. via Complex:
“Kim and I, we just became good friends. When Shanna and I broke up, I was very clear in my book saying that [Kim] was nothing but a sweetheart, and I have the utmost respect for her, and I can’t say anything negative about her. She was dope. Everyone was like, “Why didn’t you ever hook up?” I couldn’t see myself being anything but a gentleman to her.”

Another source who spoke to Page Six accused Shanna of spreading lies about Travis and Kim, adding that Shanna is “clearly bitter her ex is happy and has moved on.” Of course, I can’t help but feel that none of the sources who spoke to Page Six are actually close to Kim. There’s no way Kim would let an opportunity for some drama slip through her fingers. Especially when there’s also a chance to yank the spotlight away from her sister. A true source close to Kim would have said something like, “Did Travis leave his wife for Kim? Is a Kim-obsessed Travis dating Kourtney to get closer to the one that got away? Who is to say! But probably, right?”
