However, after spotting one on the site for just £145, Lexi decided to take a gamble and order it for her .
“It might be kind of stupid but I got a couch off SHEIN so let's see how it looks!” she began a video on her TikTok page.
She then bought in the sofa – with the product coming in a singular box – before she started unpacking it and putting it together.
The process of putting together the actual seat part didn't take too long, and Lexi was stunned as she said: “It actually looks really good!”
“The only thing is the pillows need like 72 hours to fully inflate,” she added.
“So I'm gonna let that do that for a few days. but this is the gist of it.”
She resumed the video 72 hours later, as she showed the sofa set up in all its glory.
“It looks so good and it's so comfortable!” Lexi gushed.
“Highly recommend!”
People were quick to comment on the video, with many praising Lexi for finding the budget-friendly piece.
“BRO I DEADASS BOUGHT THIS EXACT SAME COUCH FROM BED BATH & BEYOND FOR $650?!” one marvelled.
“Shein really solving our astronomical cost of living issues,” another added.
“Should I buy more furniture off SHEIN and review it??” Lexi mused, before revealing she'd just made her next purchase – a coffee table.
And others admitted they'd also bought furniture from the website, and had been thrilled with the results.
“I bought my entire room from SHEIN, mattress, dresser, night stand, bed frame, vanity – everything you could think of,” one wrote.
“I got a shoe organiser and a Murphy bed off SHEIN and love them both,” another added.
“I have a whole cart of shein furniture lol!” a third laughed.
However, others were less impressed with Lexi's find.
“Ugh no can we please just buy more second hand things?” one sighed.
“SHEIN is so so bad for the environment and in my opinion the couch looks very cheap.”
“How are people still buying from shein?” another marvelled.
“I understand Shein is cheap but it is an extremely unethical brand,” a third said.
