EMMERDALE has revealed a shock engagement for a couple who have only been together for five minutes.
The ITV soap is packed with new couples these days and one of them has decided the next step in today’s episode.
Fans watching on ITV Player were stunned to discover the shock development.
Earlier this week confessed to at his fears of being like his abusive dad Paul now he’ss living with Gabby and her son Thomas.
In today’s episode when Gabby asked Vinny to babysit Thomas for her, his reaction left her reeling.
“I don’t want to be a dad!”; he blurted out.
“I don’t want to be a dad, that’s what I’m saying.”;
Later Mandy tracked her down in an attempt to explain, telling her about Vinny’s fears how he could follow in Paul’s abusive footsteps.
Viewers know in a long-running and traumatic storyline.
Gabby went to find Vinny to try to put things right but things took a surprising turn.
“That isn’t you Vinny, you are nothing like him,”; she said.
“You are a good man. I’m going to say it again because you are a good man Vinny. A man I want in my life and my son’s.”;
Vinny told her: “I always want to be in your life Gabby, you and Thomas.”;
“I always want to be in your life too,”; Gabby replied.
Then Vinny said: “So what’s stopping us? Well when two people want to spend the rest of their lives together, they get married, right? Let’s do it, let’s get married.”;
Gabby was stunned at first – but quickly agreed to marry Vinny.
“Maybe you’re going to believe me when I become your wife? When you known you know. You need to ask properly.”;
She made him get down on one knee and propose properly before saying no and then yes.
Later Laurel and Mandy were stunned by the sudden news – and they’re not wrong.
But will Vinny and Gabby make it down the aisle?
