So if the cost of living crisis has meant you’ve had to cut back, you can still give your skin a treat with the bargain retailer's new product.

Elemis' Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm has earned its cult status in the beauty world.

It's a favourite amongst celebrities including Molly-Mae, Cara Delevingne, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Victoria Beckham.

The skincare buy has also received impressive reviews from online shoppers, earning a 4.9-of-five-star rating on the Boots website.

Unlike a lot of cleansers, the pro-collagen balm is formulated without mineral oils, instead using rose and mimosa waxes with elderberry, starflower and optimega oils, all of which are included to leave the skin feeling clean and soft.

But with a price tag of £49, it doesn’t come cheap.

Luckily for you, Home Bargains has come to the rescue with a brand new dupe version – and it even comes in a strikingly similar yellow jar.

The Charlie Tate pro-cleansing balm promises to “melt away makeup and clear pores”.

And at less than £3, it works out at £46 cheaper than the Elemis version.

One savvy shopper was left beaming when she spotted the affordable dupe in her local store – and eagerly took to social media to share it with others.

Posting online, she said: “Elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm dupe at Home Bargains for only £2.99

“Not checked ingredients etc, just noticed this is almost identical to the Elemis product so thought some of you may be interested.”

Somebody else immediately chimed in: “I love a cleansing balm! I'd be happy to use this instead of Elemis as it's pricey, I used to be a bit of a brand snob.”

Meanwhile, a second told a friend: “See, bargain.”

Other shoppers, however, are not convinced by the so-called dupe.

One insisted: “Not a dupe. Not even close. It's a lookalike. C*** ingredients compared to Elemis.”

A second claimed: “No collage in the ‘dupe'.”

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Most of these ‘dupes' are just dupes of the packaging the products are totally different.”

You can check if your local Home Bargains has stock by using the store locator tool.

While you're in your local branch, there's also a cheap fragrance you may want to check out.

Just last week, shoppers went wild for the budget retailer’s Dubai body sprays, which have been called “out of this world”; – and they’re only £2.29 each.

One beauty fan was so excited to find them that she rushed to social media, telling her followers: “Don’t walk, run to Home Bargains, girlies!”;

The viral sprays, called Nusuk Layali, are imported from the UAE and shoppers have even claimed that one of the scents smells just like Marc Jacobs Daisy, which usually costs £79.20.
