‘Love the boho vibes’ cry shoppers as they run to bag on-trend spring dress that ‘looks expensive’ in Sainsbury’s

BOHO has made a big return to the catwalk at brands like Chloe this year.

So it's unsurprising that the trend has made its way to the high street too.

And a popular supermarket has upped its game with a brand new floaty maxi dress on the rails if you're in need of inspiration.

Tu Clothing is the in-house fashion label at Sainsbury's and is renowned for its stylish buys at affordable prices.

Shoppers have already praised the new SS25 arrivals as “boho vibes”.

And there's one dress in particular that's causing a frenzy with keen fashion fans.

The Cream Floral Ruffle Maxi Romantic Dress comes in sizes six to 24, and is priced at £35.

It boasts a pretty floral pattern, flattering tiered skirt and V-neck.

Describing it on the website, the Tu Clothing team said: “Our romantic dress is the epitome of spring style.

“In a cream floral print, this dress has been designed with a tie-neck fastening, v-neckline, ruffle detailing, volume sleeves.

“Cut to a maxi length. Finish the look with a pair of beige sandals.”

Shoppers have already been racing to their nearest store and the website to get their hands on it – with many sizes sold out online.

One fashionista gushed: “I bought this last week , worth every penny.”

A second wrote: “I bought this dress for a July wedding and am thrilled with it.

“I think for the money it looks more expensive and perfect for the occasion. I think you can dress it up and also dress it down making it wearable after the wedding.”

A third added: “This dress is beautiful. I'm normally size 8 but decided to size down to 6 and it fitted perfectly. Perfect for spring.”

“Wow loving the boho vibe”, chimed in a fourth.

Meanwhile, a fifth revealed: “I saw this yesterday and couldn’t make my mind up whether to buy it and I’m so glad I did!

“Wore it last night and it felt lovely on, comfortable and floaty. I had a few strangers tell me that I looked beautiful, they loved my dress.

“And the bonus was that I’m normally a 16 and I got a 12 in this dress.”

The Noughties were the era of boho queens including Nicole Richie, the Olsen twins, and The OC’s Mischa Barton, when Topshop had its heyday and models Kate Moss and Alexa Chung were the denim-shorts-and-waistcoat-wearing pinnacles of free-spirited fashion.

And now, boho is back, with designers including Chloe sending models down the runway in billowing dresses and excess tassels, with modern-day It Girls Emily Ratajkowski and Bella Hadid jumping on the throwback trend.

But Boho 2.0 is undoubtedly a more modern, paired-back and grown-up take on the original look.

It’s all about taking elements of boho style and making it work with what we have already, rather than dressing from head to toe in it.

Think less busy prints and a more restrained colour palette — with not as much bright reds and purples.

And opt for just one or two textures — suede, sheer fabrics, ruffles, frills — to avoid looking more eccentric granny than bohemian babe.
