Primark shoppers spot ‘spelling mistake’ on new Rita Ora top – and you can’t unsee it

SHOPPERS are convinced they've spotted a spelling mistake after Rita Ora dropped her latest Primark collection.

The retail giant promised the new range would feature spring staples with the Anywhere singer's “signature edge”.

Fashion fans are convinced they've spotted a spelling mistake on this baby tee

Offering a mix of boho and cowboy vibes, the pieces dropped earlier this month with prices starting from £3.50.

So far, shoppers have been left divided by the collection with some branding it a “gorgeous range” while others insist the singer's collabs “keep getting worse”.

Fashion fan Courtney even went viral after sharing a TikTok video giving her own brutal verdict on the new pieces – joking “someone needs the jail” for it.

Her clip quickly racked up 100,000 views and hundreds of comments – and it was a £6 white baby tee that really got people talking.

The top, which comes in sizes XXS to XL, features a graphic of a spicy margarita cocktail and the text ‘Marga-Rita' above.

But shoppers are convinced the cursive font makes it look more like ‘Manga-Rita'.

“Worst part is that it looks like it says Manga rather than Marga”, one person insisted.

A second agreed: “That’s exactly how I read it as well.”

“Lol same I was thinking what’s manga rita mean”, echoed a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “Literally until I read this comment I was like oh is she doing like a Japanese promotion or something like a manga/anime theme.”

A fifth chimed in: “Thought is was an anime thing.”

And a sixth said: “I stared at that shirt for so long trying to work out what a manga-rita was.”

Even the Primark website's description labels the baby tee as ‘Manga-Rita' – suggesting it could be the real wording after all, and not a font blunder as social media users suspect.

They say: “This Rita Ora baby tee brings playful energy to your wardrobe with its fun ‘Manga-Rita' front and quirky illustration.

“With a round neckline and short sleeves, it has a cropped fit that pairs effortlessly with high-waisted jeans or skirts.

“The minimal yet bold design makes it a standout casual piece, perfect for layering or wearing solo.

“Style it with oversized trousers and chunky trainers for a laid-back, streetwear-inspired look.”

Rita Ora released her debut Primark collection in September 2023, allowing fashion fans to shop her “famous style for less”.

Her latest spring range marks her seventh collaboration with the high street giant.
