Showrunner Sera Gamble shares update on You season 3

We're one day closer to seeing You season 3 on Netflix!

That's not exactly news, of course. We're always getting one day closer to the You season 3 release date on Netflix.

But, You co-creator and showrunner Sera Gamble did share an update on You season 3 recently. And, it's very good news for fans of the hit Netflix original series.

Gamble shared a picture of the front page of the You season 3 episode 10 script on Instagram. Gamble captioned the pic, “Getting closer.” with a You-Netflix hashtag and some heart emojis with a hammer emoji and an axe emoji.

We have to assume Gamble means that production is almost done with You season 3. Other creators and showrunners will share a picture or the script from the episode they're working on to give fans a little bit of information and tease the upcoming season or episode.

Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, and the rest of the cast and crew have been back at work on season 3 since late 2020. We'll just have to wait and see when production actually wraps.

As you can see in the image, Gamble has effectively crossed out the episode title at the top of the page. We'll just have to wait until You season 3 comes out before we find out what it is, unless they send out another teaser closer to the season's release.

When is You season 3 coming to Netflix?

If production is truly winding down, that's really good news for the You season 3 release date. Usually, we have to wait about six months after the season wraps production until the new season is released.

If that happens sometime soon, You season 3 will likely hit Netflix in October or November 2021. That's probably the best-case scenario unless there are other forces at play speeding up that timeline.

I think we could see You season 3 in late December 2021. That's when we've seen the first two seasons hit Netflix. But, as you know if you've been paying attention, Netflix is likely going to have a bunch of big shows and movies coming in the last month of 2021. Perhaps, You season 3 would be released earlier than usual to avoid some of those other massive titles coming around Christmastime.
