A SINGLE mum has revealed how she is having to completely renovate her council house after moving into it when it “was an absolute mess.”;
Megs, 25, has recently moved into her , which told her had “been basically used as a trap house.”;


A trap house is a place where illegal are sold.
But regardless of that, Megs is still grateful to have the house and knows that she is “obviously lucky.”;
Since moving in, Megs has been documenting her renovation, and there has been a clear difference compared to what her place was like when she moved in.
Her kitchen looks luxurious, with freshly painted green cupboards making it look like a brand-new space.
In a video shared on her TikTok page @motherhoodandmegs, Megs shows off her renovation with before-and-after clips.
Speaking to her 35.7K followers, she says: “Rome wasn't built in a day, and I still have absolutely loads to do to make this house our home.”;
Megs explains that the DIY can be “quite challenging”; as a single working mum, and it can be “quite costly”; as she doesn’t have “an endless supply of .”;
The mum also explained that she still has furniture to buy and more in her home to complete, but her house is a work in progress and much different to what it looked like before.
Megs also explained how she doesn’t yet have blinds on the windows or flooring in all of her rooms, but understands these things take time and that “even small amounts of progress are important.”;
Her video has gained 1.8 million views, with over 4,500 people rushing to the comments section.

“Luckily most of my family are tradies, so had it all replastered, all woodwork replaced, electrics redone (some rooms had no lights in the ceiling), new bathroom.”;
