Only Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason, 85, lands new job away from TV after almost 60 years on screen

ONLY Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason has landed a brand new job away from TV – nearly 60 years since his first appearance.

The sitcom legend, 65, has landed a brand new limited stage show later this year.

Sir David has signed up to appear at The Lowry Theatre in Manchester to share never-before-told stories.

He'll be joined on stage by a celebrity guest on Friday, August 22nd and Saturday August 23rd.

Teasing the limited show, the promoters said: “Through hilarious anecdotes and personal reflections, he takes the audience on a journey—from his early days in amateur dramatics to becoming one of Britain’s most beloved actors. He reveals how chance encounters, hard work, and a little luck led him to create some of the most iconic TV characters in British history.

Tickets for the shows start at £48 and go all the way up to a pocket-denting £93.

Meanwhile, David's fans only recently realised he had a secret role in a huge comedy sketch show.

It has been revealed that thecomedic iconappeared in The Two Ronnies series as the voice of the Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town.

The Jack the Ripper parody sketch tells of a psychopathic killer roaming the streets to Victorian London who attacked and murdered his victims by blowing them a raspberry.

Rumours had long circulated that the Irish comedian,Spike Milligan,was the voice of the character but David revealed in his 2013 autobiography calledDavid Jason: My Life.
