Published on March 29, 2025 at 08:33 AM

BRITS will be able to witness a partial solar eclipse in the skies today.

Nearly half of the Sun will go dark for two hours this morning.

The amazing phenomenon will be visible across Europe, US and Canada but the UK is promised the best view on the continent.

Dr Greg Brown, Senior Public Astronomy Officer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, told Flying Eze: “The only country inEuropewith a better view [than the UK] will be Iceland with a magnitude of 0.74 which is about 68% coverage of the Sun.”

Onlookers have been warned to wear eye protection and check the exact time the eclipse will be seen in their area.
