Ever since the credits rolled on Spider-Man: Far From Home, fans have been eager to know more about Spider-Man 3, and it’s no secret that the anticipation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, which is titled Spider-Man: No Way Home is unbelievably high.
A third Spider-Man form existing in the MCU was in development since 2017 during the production of Spider-Man: Homecoming and filming began on the entire affair in October 2020. There have been so many rumors regarding what will happen next time around, and all signs point to Spider-Man 3 being a significant hit for the franchise.
The next endeavor will see the return of Tom Holland in the titular role with Malcolm & Marie star Zendaya and Avengers: Infinity War’s Jacob Batalon while also seeing the addition of some new faces rumored, some of which fans have seen be for, to be showing up courtesy of the incoming Multiverse similar tow what was seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, all of which makes it a must-watch affair when it finally premieres
There hasn’t been a new MCU flick in what feels like forever, and while WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has done a stellar job holding fans over until the Black Widow and Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in theaters. But that hasn’t stopped everyone from speculating as to what could happen in the next chapter of the infamous web-slinger’s legacy.
Spider-Man: No Way Home release date
For those wondering when the new MCU flick featuring the infamous wall-crawler, look no further. Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently scheduled to release in theaters on December 17, 2021.
Many are wondering if it will receive the streamer treatment at the same time as its theatrical debuts, like Black Widow being available through premiere access on Disney+ or Godzilla Vs. Kong was available for no additional charge for HBO Max subscribers.
A deal with Sony was announced to have titles like Uncharted, Morbius, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. Unfortunately, the agreement doesn’t take effect until 2022, and given the fact that Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out a few weeks before the new year, it would seem it will be in theaters with its streaming future remaining unknown at this time.
If the Sony motion picture is forced to delay again, it could mean that subscribers may get to experience the wall-crawler’s next adventure. Only time will tell.
Spider-Man: No Way Home cast
As mentioned before, Spider-Man: No Way Home will see the return of Holland, Batalon, and Zendaya. It has also been reported that Marisa Tomei will reprise her role as Aunt May and Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson.
Jaimie Foxx, who was last seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will be reprising his role as Electro, and Alfred Molina will be back as Doctor Octopus from Sam Raim’s Spider-Man 2. MCU alum in Spider-Man: No Way Home will be Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan is also set to return.
Both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, the two previous actors to play Spider-Man, are also rumored to be in the movie, as well as Daredevil’s Charlie Cox. It’s anyone’s guess if these individuals will be in the mix, and fans should expect the unexpected when it comes to who makes the roster for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Spider-Man: No Way Home synopsis
Plot details are scarce for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the official synopsis has yet to come out. But it isn’t tricky for those who have been keeping track of the entire ordeal to make an educated guess as to what the narrative could entail.
Peter Parker saw himself in some serious hot water at the end of the last feature, and it will be investing to see how things play out when the next spidey film finally makes its way to the big screen. Footage released by JK Simmon’s ridiculous YouTube truther conspiracist J. Jonah Jameson implicated the hero as the murderer of Mysterio and outed his secret identity.
A lot of rumors have also come out regarding the Multiverse, and it would seem that Spider-Man: No Way Home will bring the Spider-Verse into the MCU, allowing for the return and debut of other wall-crawlers from other dimensions. The concept worked very well for the Acadamy award-winning film Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse that saw characters like Spider-Woman, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Man Noir and more fight alongside Miles Morales Spider-Man.
If this does turn out to be accurate, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be one MCU flick fans will not want to miss, and it’s safe to assume that whatever goes down, people will not be disappointed by the Jon Watts directed feature.
