Steph previously confessed she broke down and begged bosses not to fire her

The actress has revealed she's wasted no time in getting back to work and has retrained as a life coach.

But Steph also confessed her new work will never “come close to her passion of being an actor”.

Speaking on social media, she said: “Someone asked me a question yesterday and it was ‘what work do you do?' And I thought, good point.

“What work do I do? And the first thing that came to my head was I'm an actor. That's all I've known for the last 30 years.

“It's really hard out there, it's not easy

“And that's one of the reasons why I stayed inHollyoaksfor so long, because it was security and I was doing what I loved every single day. And I didn't even question it.”

Addressing her new choice of career, Steph continued: “I do have days where I'm sad and I miss it and I've realised that is what I do…

“I am 100% focused on [it], I'm passionate about [it], but it won't ever come close to my passion of being an actor.”

Following the shock news she was being axed, to change their minds when she received the news.

Speaking exclusively to Flying Eze at the time, she said: “I was very distraught, I didn’t take it well – I was probably the most dramatic person they told.

“I just kept telling them ‘I’m an original character’.

“I was clutching at anything – telling them ‘but I was the first person to give birth on the show!’

“I could see the distress I was causing them because they were upset that I was so upset.”
