IT’S not Liam and Noel’s fault — but Oasis fans were fleeced by Ticketmaster last year. Not maybe, definitely.

What possible justification did the ticketing giant have for selling standard seats at 2.5 times the normal price by rebranding them “Platinum”;?

If you have a Platinum ticket, you have every right to look back in anger.

Likewise it was scandalously shoddy not to tell those endlessly queuing for a cheaper standing ticket that only pricier ones remained.

That explains the eye-watering jump in cost so many ­suddenly faced on hitting the front.

If the CMA watchdog believes Ticketmaster broke consumer law it must act against the US firm.

How could a multi-billion-dollar business get this so wrong?

No prison letoff

A COUNTRY with no death penalty should at least jail its worst criminals forever.

And we do — with a few serving whole-life sentences. But too many other truly ­heinous murderers dodge that fate.

Last week teenage paedo Nicholas Prosper, who slaughtered his family and plotted to massacre 30 schoolkids, was handed 49 years but NOT a whole-life term. It was a strange act of leniency.

So we back the parents of Sarah Everard as they campaign for “life”; to mean life. The whole-life sentence for Sarah’s murderer gave them the small comfort that his crime’s gravity was recognised.

We need more proper life terms — and fewer judges seeking excuses not to hand them out.
