The Sweet Magnolias season 2 release date has not been announced, but we have a good idea when to expect the series.
The cast and crew started production on Sweet Magnolias season 2 started this spring. We were hoping production would start sooner, so we could see the season later this year.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Deadline recently confirmed Sweet Magnolias season 2 is coming to Netflix in 2022.
We're so late in the year for a show to start production. If filming continues through the summer, there's almost no way they could have the season ready for a December release date.
The show is also a very spring/summer show, so it makes sense for Netflix to push season 2 into the spring of 2022.
We could see the new season in early 2022, like January or February, but I think it's more likely that we could see the new season between March-May 2022.

In May 2021, Netflix confirmed the Sweet Magnolias season 2 cast.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley will obviously return, along with Chris Klein, Logan Allen, Annaliese Judge, Carson Rowling, and Jacob Bruening confirmed to return for season 2.
According to a report from Deadline, Dion Johnstone, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Brandon Quinn will be series regulars for season 2. That means we'll be seeing a lot more of those characters.
