Teenager, 18, dies after being struck by lorry in seaside town during early hours of Easter Sunday

A TEENAGER has died after being struck by a lorry as cops urge witnesses to come forward.

Lancashire Police have confirmed the 18-year-old pedestrian from Morecambe died at the scene.

Reports were made to the A623 Bay Gateway between Mellishaw Lane and Northgate, in Morecombe at 3am today.

Cops have since launched an appeal for anyone with information to get in touch.

They are particularly interested in CCTV or dash-cam footage.
