The struggle lasted nearly five minutes as the walkers repeatedly attempted to get the dogs under control, while they lashed out at them on a recreational near a kids play area.

The footage was captured by local resident, Kevin Kyle, who claims he overheard the commotion from his house at 11.50am on Monday (April 28).

Kevin said: “The one gentleman has ended up seriously injured.

“People were shouting to call the but they were were saying ‘no’ as they ‘don’t want their dogs to be locked up’.”;

One of the men can be seen in the footage collapsing to the ground as a dog grips his shirt around the shoulder and drags him along the floor.

Once the two walkers get back to their feet and grab the animals’ collars they continue to snap at each other.

Then one dog breaks free and chases down one of the men and knocks him to the ground.

He can be seen hitting the pet on the head with his fist in a bid to stop its attack – as it appears to have hold of his other arm.

As the two men attempt to quell the situation, a passerby can be seen in the footage watching on as he walks past.

One of the walkers lifts the dog’s rear end up by its tail as it continues to lunge at the other man who’s on the ground again.

Eventually, the dogs are separated for a final time, with one being led away by one of the walkers onto a grassed area near a playground.

Further footage then shows one of the men lying on his side on court, with three passersby, including one on a bike, standing over him.

It is unclear where the dog is or how much time has past. One of the members of the public kneels down and attempts to stir the man who eventually rolls over onto his back with his arms splayed out.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told The Sun it does not appear the incident was reported to the force.
