Tesco urgently recalls popular ready meals over health risk fears & warns shoppers ‘do NOT eat’

Published on March 26, 2025 at 06:27 PM

TESCO has urgently recalled its Free From Meal Kits due to undeclared soya in the products.

The recall was announced by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Initially, the presence of soya was not included on the meal kits' ingredient list.

The FSA confirmed the products makes them potentially dangerous for those with this specific allergy.

According to Cleveland Clinic: “A soy allergy is a type of food allergy that occurs when your immune system mistakenly triggers a defensive response to soy.

“This response — or allergic reaction — can cause various symptoms, including vomiting, stomach cramps, indigestion, diarrhoea and, in severe cases, anaphylaxis.”
