Moment quad-bike riding Tesla hater bashes ATV into car in parking lot rampage

THIS is the brazen moment a hulking quad bike driver smashes into a Tesla – marking the latest in a string of recent attacks on Elon Musk's cars.

449-pound Texas man Demarqeyun Marquize Cox, 33, rammed his large four-wheeler into several Tesla cars during his rampaging spree.

The spree began after Cox allegedly spotted the electric vehicles in the parking lot of a Golden Palace Chinese buffet.

While its owner was eating in the restaurant, 5-foot-2 Cox drove head on into the side of the red electric Tesla, in footage obtained by KTBS.

The dramatic footage shows the man wearing a purple T-shirt driving his quad bike in the parking lot, before he marks a turn towards the unaccompanied Tesla.

He races towards owner Virita Carstaffin's car at a subpar speed in his four-wheeled off-road vehicle.

Unprovoked, he rams into the side of the car, slightly losing his balance in the act as he is thrown forward.

Cox readjusts his seat position and nonchalantly reverses away.

Carstaffin was alerted to the attack by a phone notification.

She said she would have to pay over $1,000 to replace the damaged door.

Police were called to the scene of the attack after a second Tesla was damaged at a nearby location called Lowe’s, according to local cops.

The menace was stopped by cops just over a mile south of the Golden Palace buffet after an officer spotted and recognised from the captured footage.

The man allegedly attempted to give a false identification of himself and pretended to be someone else during police interrogations.

Local police said: “Based on what they had seen in the video they knew for a fact that he was the one who at least hit the initial Tesla.”;

He has been charged with felony criminal mischief resulting in damage between $2,500 and $30,000 and failure to identify, police said.

Shortly after his arrest, a third damaged Tesla was reported and had the name “ELON” carved into it side.

Cox at this time has only been charged with damaging the first car but cops said the investigation is ongoing and he could be charged for other attacks later on.

He is being held on a $105,000 bond.

The attack marks the latest in a wave of anti-Musk damage done to Tesla cars in protest of the CEO's appointment as head of the efficiency department in Trump's administration.

Swathes of protesting campaigners have set vehicles alight, sprayed graffiti on Tesla showrooms and attempted to burn them down, and vandalised vehicles.

The attacks even spread to Europe where similar incidents have been reported.

The FBI launched an investigation into the wave of attacks in order to crack down on “psycho terrorists”.

And furious Trump vowed to send “terrorist thugs” to infamous megaprisons in El Salvador if they were caught.

He even defended the Tesla boss's cars in front of the White House praising the cars as well as Musk.
