The show is ending with its upcoming sixth season, but it's not the end of viewers' time in Gilead.

Hulu has officially given a series order to sequel series The Testaments.

Meanwhile, the streamer announced Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander and Mabel Li are among the series regulars.

Amy Seimetz takes on the role of “Paula”, a hard-shelled homemaker and formidable stepmother to Agnes (Chase Infiniti).

Prior to being renamed, Agnes was called “Hannah” in The Handmaid's Tale and portrayed by Jordana Blake.

Brad Alexander will play “Garth”, a young Commander who finds himself involved in the personal lives of the girls he's sworn to protect.

While Mabel Li has been cast as “Aunt Vidala”, the stern heir-apparent to the women’s sphere of Gilead.

Rounding out the new additions are Zarrin Darnell-Martin (Aunt Gabbana), Eva Foote (Aunt Estee) and Isolde Ardies (Hulda).

In addition, Shechinah Mpumlwana (Jehosheba), Birva Pandya (Miriam) and Kira Guloien (Rosa).

They join previously announced cast members Infiniti, Mattea Conforti, Lucy Halliday and Rowan Blanchard.

Furthermore, The Handmaid's Tale veteran Ann Dowd is returning as Aunt Lydia.

The Testaments is also based on a Margaret Attwood novel, published in 2019.

The story takes place 15 years following events described in The Handmaid's Tale.

Meanwhile, the premise follows a new generation of women living in dystopian Gilead.

A description reads: “For these young women, growing up in Gilead is all they have ever known, having no tangible memories of the outside world prior to their indoctrination into this life.

“Facing the prospect of being married off and living a life of servitude, they will be forced to search for allies, both new and old, to help in their fight for freedom and the life they deserve.”;

The sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale premieres April 8 on Hulu.
