How The Traitors winner Harry Clark turned down £300k and huge reality show TWICE in bid to escape family scandal

The Traitors winner Harry Clark locked in bitter feud with Charlotte Chilton after she reveals baby news - and sides with Conor Maynard

MORE than a year after he betrayed his closest friend to win £95,000 on The Traitors, Harry Clark is making his TV comeback.

The 24-year-old is set to star on BBC‘s Pilgrimage: The Road Through the Alps alongside six other celebrities on an emotional and spiritual journey – his first major telly job since January 2024.

It comes after he turned down a whopping £300k to star on Celebrity Big Brother not once, but twice, and a brief stint on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip with Traitors co-star Paul Gorton.

However, the reality star is said to be following a strategic plan that moves him away from The Traitors and the drama surrounding his girlfriend's brother Conor Maynard.

An industry insider argued: “Even though he won The Traitors, Harry hasn't appeared to capitalise on the opportunity so far.

“Since being signed as a new BBC star, Harry picked up as many TV shows as others from the series who have starred on big money prime time shows like Dancing on Ice and Celebrity MasterChef.

“He was really keen on signing up for Strictly Come Dancing or I'm A Celebrity, but has struggled to find other shows that are suitable.

“It’s not about the money for him because he already has a great lifestyle. He wants to do more meaningful jobs and be taken seriously.

“Harry's not interested in doing a show like Celebrity Big Brother. He's savvy and knows he'd be pushed to talk about the drama surrounding his girlfriend's brother.

“He's really happy to have landed Pilgrimage as his first major show since The Traitors. It's more of a high-brow show on BBC than doing ITV reality.”

Speaking about the show, Harry said: “I've always had faith. I was baptised and all my family are Catholic.

“I was an altar server in church and played the violin in church with my sister, so I was always around faith.

“I'm so excited to go on this Pilgrimage, to meet the other pilgrims and find out about their religions, what they believe in and why, and if they don't believe, why?

“Because I've questioned who God is my whole life, not in a bad way, but as in no one knows who God is.”;

Harry is in a long-term relationship with Anna, who's the sibling of singer and TikTok star Conor Maynard and I'm A Celebrity's Jack Maynard.

Conor was accused of fathering a child with Harry's co-star from the Traitors, Charlotte Chilton.

Conor Paul Maynard was born on November 21, 1992 in Brighton.

He is an English singer-songwriter and record producer.

His biggest chart hits are Can't Say No and Vegas Girl.

He has worked with the likes of Labyrinth and Rita Ora.

Conor's brother Jack is a YouTuber who appeared on I'm A Celebrity back in 2017 before quitting the jungle amida fallout over homophobic and racist tweets.

She gave birth to a baby girl called Penelope in October – but last month the pop star claimed claimed a DNA test showed he is NOT the father.

Charlotte told pals she has major doubts about the accuracy of the test after the singer switched testing locations at the last minute.

Conor's representative insisted the results have “clearly drawn a line under the matter”.

Charlotte – who was finally banished in episode nine of the series which aired in January 2024 – claimed she Conor’s best pal Harry Clark, who set the pair up at celebrity hotspot Raffles, stopped speaking to her after revealing her pregnancy.

“I was left thinking Harry's decided that what Conor's doing is appropriate – lads, supporting lads,” Charlotte told Flying Eze last year.

“There's a part of me that just wants to block it out, because if I don't, it's gonna eat me up inside.”

Former Army ace has rejected a huge money deal from ITV to take part in this month's Celebrity Big Brother.

It's the second year in a row that ITV bosses have tried to woo Harry.

Instead, Harry is sticking with the Beeb – and will film hit series Pilgrimage.

Those close to Harry rubbished claims filming Pilgrimage was a “plan B”.

“It was a key show Harry wanted to aim for,” an insider said.

“It’s a credible show, with quality people, on the BBC, on a subject he is very passionate about.”

Harry joins Daliso Chaponda, Helen Lederer, Jay McGuiness, Jeff Brazier, Nelufar Hedayat and Stef Reid on the cast of this year’s Pilgrimage, which returns to the BBC later this year.
