The White Lotus fans in complete shock as they realise who Sam Nivola’s famous parents are after sickening incest scene

THE White Lotus fans were left horrified and sickened by his character's incestuous romp in the latest episode of the hit show.

And there was even more shock after the controversial episode when viewers discovered up and coming star Sam Nivola, who plays Lochlan Ratliff, has very famous parents.

The 21-year-old had the unenviable task of performing a sex act with his on-screen brother Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) as the siblings had a threesome with Charlotte Le Bon's character Chloe.

He has since told Variety: “It was very weird kissing Patrick because he's a really good friend of mine. And, you know, I'm straight, he's straight. It's already weird.'

“Patrick was already like a brother to me. It felt sort of f**ked up.”

The scene has got fans around the globe talking and elevated all three cast members' profiles.

All three stars involved in the scene have famous parents, with Patrick the son of bodybuilding action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger and Canadian Charlotte the daughter of lesser known actress Brigitte Paquette.

Now viewers have cottoned on to Sam's A-list connections.

His mother is British actress and director Emily Mortimer, while father Alessandro Nivola has starred in the award-winning The Brutalist, American Hustle and Disobedience.

Emily and Alessandro have been together for over 24 years, tying the knot in 2003 after meeting on the set of Love’s Labour’s Lost.

Their children have followed in their footsteps – Sam’s younger sister, May, 14, is also an actress, starring alongside him in White Noise, which opened the Venice Film Festival.

Sam attended the prestigious Saint Ann’s School, where fees range from $48,000 to $52,000 per year, before securing a place at Columbia University.

He has starred in The Pursuit of Love, which was directed by his mother, and has worked with A-listers like Bradley Cooper in Maestro and Nicole Kidman in Netflix’s The Perfect Couple.

Away from the screen, Sam has been dating fellow nepo baby Iris Apatow, daughter of actress Leslie Mann and director Judd Apatow, for the past two years.

His disturbing White Lotus scenes took place on a luxury yacht, which is owned by Chloe's boyfriend Greg Hunt.

Later on in the episode, Saxon found Chloe and Chelsea by the pool and said how kissing his brother was a ‘joke'.

Swiping back, Chloe declared: “I didn't force him to perform a sex act on you.”

Meanwhile, Lochlan's memory of the entire night eventually came flooding back to him while meditating in a Buddhist temple with his sister, Piper.

The shocking scenes left fans sickened, with many taking to social media to share their disgust.

One viewer said: “Please let there be no more incest, please, I've had enough.”

Another wrote: “The incest brothers are starting to stress me out bad, oh my god.”

A third commented: “I can’t deal with the gay brother storyline. It’s so nasty and foul. Incest is so sick and twisted. This plot is making me hate the show.”

Another fan said: “Literally felt sick seeing those flashbacks.”

The White Lotus first sparked speculation of an incest plot when in the first episode, Lochlan appeared to fantasise about seeing his brother Saxon perform a sex act on himself.

It came as the brothers decided to share a room at the hotel as they said it would be strange to bunk with their sister Piper now they were all adults.

Meanwhile, the drama's executive producer David Bernard defended the incest scenes.

Asked whether they went too far, he replied: “No, in terms of that — that’s all [creator Mike White].

“Mike is brilliant, and I think those big story turns are not just for shock.”
