Some things in life you can count on. The sun rising and falling; the rotation of the Earth; a woman with a billion-dollar estranged husband going through a divorce locating a mistress like Liam Neeson does his kidnapped daughter. Like the inevitability of daylight, Nicole Young has reportedly located the potential infidelity money she was looking for in her divorce from Dr. Dre. Page Six says a recent ruling has declared three women must testify in the legal battle under oath.
Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre last June after 24 years of marriage. This kicked off a solid divorce battle. I’d give it an 8/10 on the Brangelina-Scale–maybe 7.5. Nicole aimed high and started by asking for $2 million a month in spousal support, but Dre did not want to do that. Nicole also claimed that Dre tore up their prenup years ago in a romantic gesture, but Dre produced a copy of it and wants the court to uphold it. Earlier this year, Dre suffered a brain aneurysm and agreed to give Nicole $2 million for now. But the legal battle went on, and Nicole went looking for mistresses who Dre may have showered with money and gifts. Should the judge decide to invalidate their prenup, anything Dre bought for his side pieces would be considered community property and Nicole could demand half.
Well, three of those alleged mistresses have been called to testify in Dre’s divorce case. Jillian Speer, Kili Anderson, and Crystal Rodgers (AKA Crystal Sierra) are all being represented by lawyer Kris LeFan who tried to keep them from testifying:
Reportedly stating none of them has “information relevant to the enforceability” of the pre-nuptial agreement over which Dre and Nicole are battling in court.
But according to a ruling filed last week in LA Superior Court, the “discovery referee” in the case, David S. Weinberg, concluded, “each of them may have information relevant to the issue of temporary support and fees as well as the … [validity] and enforceability of the alleged pre-marital agreement.”
Weinberg added, “their depositions may be taken, narrowly tailored to those discrete subject matters.”
Nicole is gonna start by shouting: “Show me their leases! Count the designer bags! Show me whose credit card is saved on their Amazon Prime!”
Not only did that “discovery referee” tell these women to show up to court, but he also fined them for suggesting that as mistresses they did not have pertinent information to a divorce.
The court also ruled that Dre and the women’s sides must pay nearly $10,000 in sanctions — at $2,500 apiece, court records show — since “Their resistance to this request was without substantiation.”
Kris LeFan had previously argued in his motion that since California is a no-fault state in divorce issues, Dre’s extramarital affairs do not matter unless it says so in the prenup. Dre has denied having an affair with at least one of his alleged side pieces:
Dre has previously vehemently denied reports about any past romantic link to Anderson, a former model behind a beauty line called Skin and Senses. Rodgers co-wrote a tune that was once included on a Dre compilation album, while Speer is a singer-songwriter.
Well, congratulations to Nicole. I’m sure she’s already compiled her Excel spreadsheets and has a litany of questions and calculations prepared to find out just exactly how much money Dre spent on these women. Nicole’s about to catalog those women’s Birkin collections like Kris Jenner makes her assistants do before she drains their life force.
