Published on March 27, 2025 at 01:51 PM

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members of the governing council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB.

Their appointment was disclosed by Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via a statement on Thursday.

Onanuga said Tinubu in his efforts to reinforce the NCDMB’s capacity to grow local content in the oil and gas sector approved the appointment of four members of the board.

The presidential spokesman noted that the new board members were appointed after the exit of the previous representatives from various organisations.

He noted that the NCDMB is committed to exploring ways to improve on its responsibilities of overseeing and promoting Nigerian participation in the oil and gas sector among others.

Onanuga also said the new appointees are expected to use their expertise to drive local content growth in the sector.

The newly appointed members of the NCDMB board are:

1. Olusegun Omosehin from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

2. Wole Ogunsanya of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).

3. Sam Azoka Onyechi, representing the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF).

4. Owei Oyanbo from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
