Published on April 11, 2025 at 01:46 PM

President Bola Tinubu has met with the United States State Department Senior Advisor, Massad Boulos in Paris.

During the meeting on Thursday, Tinubu and Boulos discussed regional security. They also discussed expanding economic cooperation in Africa.

Disclosing this, Tinubu's spokesman, Bayo Onanuga wrote: “President Tinubu meets US State Department Senior Advisor, Massad Boulos in Paris.”

Similarly, the US State Department posted on its X handle: “State Department Senior Advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security including working together with partners to build a durable peace in eastern DRC. They also discussed expanding opportunities for economic cooperation throughout Africa.”

On April 3, Tinubu departed Nigeria for Paris in France on a short working visit.

During the visit, the President is expected to appraise his administration's midterm performance and assess key milestones.

He will also use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration's second anniversary.

Onanuga had said while away, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance activities.

“He will return to Nigeria in about a fortnight,” he said.
