Published on April 05, 2025 at 06:57 PM

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent deadly attacks in Plateau State, promising swift justice for the victims and firm action against the perpetrators.

In a statement released on Saturday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed deep sorrow over the killings in Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government Area, as well as Manguna and Dafo villages.

The attacks led to numerous deaths and widespread destruction of property.

“The latest attacks on defenceless citizens are unacceptable,”; Tinubu declared. “I have directed security agencies to hunt down the attackers, and they will face severe punishment when apprehended.”;

The President extended condolences to the families of the victims and the Plateau State Government, assuring Governor Caleb Mutfwang of federal support to end the cycle of violence.

He urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by sharing information that could lead to the capture of the criminals. Tinubu also directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to work with state authorities to deliver aid and help affected communities recover.

“No community should have to endure such tragedy,”; Tinubu stated.

“We all must unite to foster peace and stability, embracing our shared humanity and rejecting retaliation.”;
