Transfer: Chelsea winger told to leave Stamford Bridge

Published on December 09, 2022 at 03:07 AM

Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has been told to leave Stamford Bridge.

The winger has been told to switch to Manchester United because of manager Erik ten Hag.

The Moroccan has left up off the billings at Stamford Bridge since his £33m move from Ajax in the summer of 2020.

Ziyech has just 14 goals in 92 appearances at Chelsea, starting only one Premier League game this season.

He has been Morocco’s shining light in Qatar, helping them qualify for the quarter-finals, where they will face Portugal.

And former Morocco midfielder Mustafa El Haddaoui wants the winger to join Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.

El Haddaoui told Stats Perform and Corriere dello Sport: “He needs to leave Chelsea and go to Manchester United, because the former Ajax manager [Erik ten Hag] wanted him.

“He will bounce back, but he needs to leave Chelsea during the winter transfer market.”;
