Trump finally undergoes medical checks

Published on April 11, 2025 at 04:57 PM

President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has agreed to undergo medical checks on Friday.

DAILY POST reports that this is the first medical check Trump took since returning to power, leading to scrutiny of the 78-year-old.

Trump was expected to arrive at the Walter Reed military hospital in the Washington suburbs at 11:00 am (1500 GMT).

“I have never felt better but nevertheless, these things must be done!”; Trump said on Truth Social earlier this week.

Meanwhile, it was not immediately clear when the results of the exam being led by presidential physician, Sean Barbabella, would be released or how detailed they would be.

Trump's critics have repeatedly accused the 47th US president of a lack of openness about his health despite huge interest in the well-being of America’s commander-in-chief.

Recall that Trump’s personal and White House doctors have once described him as the healthiest president.

In 2015, as Trump was running for the presidency for the first time, his doctor, Harold Bornstein, released a letter saying that the tycoon “unequivocally will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” he said.
