Trump orders declassification of ‘Cross Hurricane Files’ on Russian interference

Published on March 25, 2025 at 08:29 PM

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has ordered the declassification of the ‘Cross Hurricane Files,' also known as the “Russian Hoax.”

Trump disclosed this in a viral video seen by DAILY POST on Tuesday on X.

The files contain reports on the investigation into Russian interference in the US election that led to Trump’s first-term victory.

Speaking on the declassification, Trump said it would allow the media and the American public to know the truth.

“This gives the media the right to go and check it. You will probably not bother because you will not like what you see. But this is total weaponisation and a total disgrace that should never happen to this country. Now you will be able to see for yourself,” he said.

The document unveils counterintelligence efforts undertaken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, from 31 July 2016 to 17 May 2017, investigating Trump’s presidential campaign and Russian government interference in US elections.

The investigation is also known as the Robert Mueller Report.
