Trump revokes security clearance for Biden, Kamala, Clinton

Published on March 22, 2025 at 06:55 PM

President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearance of former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and several others.

The presidential directive, issued by the White House on Saturday, ordered the heads of departments and agencies to implement the revocation immediately.

In the memorandum, the president stated that he had determined it was “no longer in the national interest” for the named individuals to retain access to classified information.

The list includes Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Elizabeth Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, and other members of Joe Biden's family.

The heads of executive departments and agencies have been instructed to take “all additional action as necessary” to revoke any active security clearances held by these individuals.

Those affected will no longer have access to classified information or “unescorted access to secure United States Government facilities.”

They are also barred from receiving classified briefings, such as the President’s Daily Brief, and from accessing classified information held by any member of the Intelligence Community.

Additionally, the president directed US entities to revoke any security clearance granted to the individuals if it was issued through their employment with a private entity.

Blinken served as Secretary of State, Sullivan was National Security Adviser, and Monaco served as Deputy Attorney General.
