I splashed out on a set of Turkey teeth – people warned me & now trolls say I have ‘piano keys’ & ask if I can ‘undo it’

A WOMAN has revealed that she splashed the cash on a full set of Turkey teeth, despite numerous people warning her against it.

Lola Montanna, a content creator from Australia, ignored advice from others and jetted abroad to Istanbul, a city in Turkey, for super white veneers.

Lola Montanna left people divided by her gnashers, with many comparing them to ‘piano keys' and ‘Lego pieces'

Posting on social media, Lola, who has 25,500 followers on TikTok, gave viewers a before and after look at her dental transformation, leaving many totally stunned.

At the start of the short clip, we saw the beauty fan sitting in a dentist’s chair.

As she opened her mouth, Lola revealed her teeth, which had been shaved down, into what people describe as ‘shark teeth’.

Seconds later, Lola opened her mouth again, after her dental procedure, to proudly show off her new pearly whites.

Clearly impressed with her fresh smile, Lola posed for the camera and confidently ran her tongue over her teeth.

Not only this, but she also then zoomed in, giving viewers a closer look at her new smile.

Despite being overjoyed with her new teeth, Lola claimed that prior to flying to Turkey, people warned her: “Don’t go to Turkey and get veneers.”;

Clearly unbothered, Lola clapped back and beamed: “Ya only live once.”;

Lola didn’t confirm how much she forked out for her new smile, but while a full set of veneers in Turkey costs significantly less than in the UK, prices range from £4,400 to £16,000 for full mouth reconstruction, compared to £16,000 or more in the UK.

Meanwhile, in Australia, where Lola is from, a full set of veneers can cost from £4,9000 to £9,7000.

Revealing all on her new smile, Lola penned: “I chose them to get all one shape.

“They had different shapes you can choose from.

“I just wanted the perfect square fake look.”;

Social media users react

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lola.montanna, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up a whopping 9.4 million likes.

Not only this, but the video has also amassed a jaw-dropping 629,400 likes, 7,742 comments and 23,800 shares.

But social media users were left gasping at Lola’s smile – and not only did many think she would ‘regret’ getting veneers’, others described her new gnashers as resembling ‘piano keys’.

Dentist-approved teeth whitening tips

ERIN Fraundorf, DMD, MSD, owner of BOCA Orthodontic + Whitening Studio in Missouri, shared her top tips for whiter teeth.

Seek whitening treatment from a professional. It’s often stronger and will be the most effective so you don’t waste your money on a product that doesn’t work or may harm you. You also only get one set of teeth, so it's best not to experiment on them.

Consider the cause of the staining. There are numerous causes for teeth to have a yellow or brown tint. Be sure to get evaluated and diagnosed by a professional to ensure you receive the best treatment for your stains. Not all stains are the same so they may require different treatments.

Consider your lifestyle, smile goals, and budget. When choosing a whitening treatment that is best for you, consider multiple factors when designing a custom plan. Some people like homework to whiten at home, some prefer in-office treatments only, some need to get really bright really fast — for a wedding, for example — whereas others would like a more gentle, gradual, consistent approach to whitening.

Ease into it. Start integrating teeth whitening into your routine gradually to get your teeth accustomed to it and you can closely monitor your level of sensitivity to regulate how frequently you can whiten.

Try to prevent. Make tiny changes to your lifestyle in an effort to prevent staining from penetrating your teeth. For example, sip staining beverages through a straw, swish with plain water after drinking anything staining, and pick flat water over sparkling whenever possible.

Water floss to help in between the teeth stains. Blast away stubborn stains in between your teeth with a water flosser, because toothbrush bristles can only reach so much of your tooth surface.

Meanwhile, alongside crying emojis, someone else asked: “Can you undo it?”;

Not only this, but another slammed: “Your veneers are very poorly made, no shape, no translucency. You can get better, more realistic crowns in South Africa. But each to their own.”;

And at the same time, someone else wrote: “These look like piano keys.”;

But despite the negativity, there were some users that were impressed with Lola’s gnashers.

One woman beamed: “These comments are filled with jealousy. Your teeth look amazing.”;

And a second claimed: “Girl it’s the people without money hating. You had money to go to Turkey and get veneers, girl you look amazing.”;

What are the risks of getting surgery abroad?

IT'S important to do your research if you're thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad.

It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks.

Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.

No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.

If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.

Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.

Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems.
