Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere says the team is fully focused on securing a place in the final of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The West Africans will tackle Colombia in the semi-final on Wednesday (today) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa.

It’s the first time the Flamingos will be playing in the semi-final at the competition.

Olowookere’s girls defeated the United States of America 4-3 on penalties to secure a place in the last four.

The gaffer insisted that they are determined to go further in the competition by securing a place in the final.

“We are fully ready right from the day we qualified and I believe we will achieve our aim,”; Olowookere said ahead of the clash against the South Americans.

“And to achieve that, we must beat the Colombians and we are doing everything to make it possible”;, he said.

The game will kick-off at 12pm Nigeria time.
