Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has doled out N10m to the Olympic Eagles ahead of the side’s 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Tanzania.

Makinde made the donation when he hosted the Olympic Eagles to a dinner at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan on Friday night.

The state’s number one citizen also promised the team $25,000 regardless of the result against the Tanzanians.

Salisu Yusuf’s side will host the Serengeti Boys in the second leg of the qualifiers at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Saturday (today).

Both teams battled to a 1-1 draw in the first leg last weekend.

The overall winners will slug it out with either Uganda or Guinea in the final round of the qualifiers.
