Published on April 17, 2025 at 06:14 AM

Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has said that the club's youngsters – Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri – really wants to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.

Rice spoke at his post-match interview after Arsenal's Champions League quarter-final second leg 2-1 win against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Recall that goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli gave Mikel Arteta's side the victory over Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.

“We have young players coming through like him [Lewis-Skelly], Ethan [Nwaneri] who really want it as well. We've got a real mix and like you said, semi-finals, it's massive for us,” Rice said.

“We just want to take tonight in and want to take it one step at a time. PSG next who are an amazing team.”

Lewis-Skelly played full 90 minutes of the match between Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Nwaneri, on the other hand, was an unused substitute in the Arsenal bench.

Arsenal's next match is against Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend.
