UCL: ‘I don’t realize how good he is’ – Ian Wright singles out Arsenal star

Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has singled out one Arsenal star, Myles Lewis-Skelly for praise ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal second leg match against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Gunners' legend acknowledged how the youngster bossed Real Madrid around during the Gunners' 3-0 win over the LaLiga giants in the first leg of the quarterfinal clash.

This was following Arsenal's 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals' first leg on Tuesday.

Arsenal were dominant in the game, with England midfielder, Declan Rice scoring two free kicks, being his first ever, while Mikel Merino also got on the scoresheet.

While the entire team played well, Wright selected Lewis-Skelly for special praise.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Wright said the 18-year-old dominated Real Madrid on the night.

He said, “Myles Lewis-Skelly, having another, like, I don’t know how many games he’s in. Is he 17 games in now or 18 games in, in respects of his career at Arsenal? He’s playing against the greatest football club in Champions League history and bossing it.

“I don’t realize how good he is. I don’t realize how good he is. I think to, first of all, lock down that left-hand side like you do in a defensive sense when you’re not a left-back, and then step up into midfield and just semi-dictate tempo against the European champions.”

The last quarterfinal matches would be decided this evening as Arsenal face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Gunners would fight for a place in the semi-finals as they go into match with a 3-0 advantage over the 15-time European champions.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have already booked their place in the last four, beating Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa, respectively, in the quarterfinals.
