UCL: ‘Not over yet’ – Real Madrid star warns Arteta’s Arsenal ahead of second leg

Published on April 09, 2025 at 03:33 PM

Real Madrid defender, Raul Asencio, has told Arsenal to reduce the loudness of their victory songs following their 3-0 win over Los Blancos in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday night.

The defender wants the Gunners to have in mind that the game is not over yet with another 90 minutes still to go down.

Los Blancos suffered a 3-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium and the second leg comes up next week.

Declan Rice scored twice from the free kick in the 58th and 70th-minute while Mikel Merino made it three for the home side in the 75th minute.

Following the game, Asencio shared a post on Instagram warning Mikel Arteta and his boys ahead of the second leg.

He wrote in the caption, “This isn't over yet, the Bernabeu remains. Already thinking about it. #HalaMadrid.”

Arteta's side will visit the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, April 16, with a three-goal lead.
