‘Like a shark bite’ – UFC star left unable to see after horror cut on UFC London undercard leaving fans sickened

UFC star Chris Padilla suffered a horror cut during his UFC London fight against Jai Herbert – but still came out victorious.

The American took a split-decision over Britain's Jai Herbert but did so covered in blood.

An elbow from Herbert caused a gruesome gash above Padilla's left eye.

But he battled through to win a decision but fans were left sickened by the cut online.

One said: “Looks like a shark bite.”

Another added: “Definitely going to have a nice little scar from that.”

One reacted: “Brutal! On the bright side, he won.”

Another said: “Damn, that cut is nasty! Congrats on the W though.”

Commenting on the cut, Padilla said: “S***, I don't know bro it just hurt like a b***h if you want me to be honest with you.

“But it is what it is bro, like I always say I win by any means. If this was going to happen, s*** I would have taken one right across the face.

“I would have still walked forward. I couldn't see nothing out of my left eye there was blood pouring down.

“But I was ready to run that s*** up no matter what.”

Lightweight Padilla, 29, moved to 16-6 in the cage and won his sixth bout on the spin.
